Strategy is the yardstick you use to decide where to invest in your business and consequently where the revenue comes from. The most profitable businesses base their strategies on a sound understanding of the market needs and their own capabilities and stick to them. This half day seminar will cover four basic frameworks to help you analyse your capabilities, understand the market demands and decide where to focus your efforts for the best return. The seminar will cover:
- What is strategy, why is it important and how does it impact your business?
- What do you need to know to develop a good strategy?
- Why use an analysis framework?
- How to gather the information you need.
- The SWOT framework and how to apply it.
- Porter's 5 forces model for industry analysis and what it tells you.
- The Value Chain.
This session is not an academic theoretical lecture. The seminar will show you how to gain an understanding of your business and the markets that you operate in and then turn this into insight to help you improve your business.
